In it’s 17th year, Bruce Rocks’ Back to Bush Veterans Week events continue on :)
FRIDAY 3rd November
8:00am -10.00amJoin Activate Life Rehab for a Free Sausage Sizzle Breakfast at the Bruce Rock Recreation Centre.
9:30amCome along and release your creative side with a morning of card making at our local Scrapbooking workshop, Country Paper craft.
10.00am Bus Tour to Merredin Military Museum – Limited seats available.
1.00pm Lawn Bowls. Numbers are required by 11.00am, please contact Paul Hutton on 9061 1853. BYO Bowls
2.30pm – 4.00pm Partners of Veterans Assoc WA Afternoon Tea at the Bruce Rock District Club.
4.00pm – 5.00pm 10th Light horse troop demonstration at Recreation Centre, a demonstration not to be missed.
5.00pm Come on down to the Bruce Rock District Club and enjoy a meal plus great live music from Lionel.
6.00pm – 9.00pm Youtheez night for children aged 12-18yrs will be having a night of fun & games for $5 per head. Meet at the indoor basketball courts. Dinner will be provided.
SATURDAY 4th November
8:30am Our BIG day!! Commencing at 8.30am we haveStreet Markets. The street will be full of information booths for Veterans, pensioners & the public. These cover everything from Australian Flag memorabilia to Health. The Kelmscott/Pinjarra 10th Light Horse group will have their mobile museum on display at the bunker. Entertainment for the kids, Bouncy castle, pony rides & the BK Youth Centre will be open.
11.00am It’s time to start lining up opposite the cenotaph for the March to the Anglican Church. Veterans and all other interested persons are welcome to join the march wearing your medals. Please don’t forget your hats and sunglasses.
11.30am We step off and march to St Peters Anglican Church for a service and the relighting of the candle at the Vietnam Veteran’s Peace Window.
Afternoon Enjoy a beverage at our district club, whilst the children will be entertained with plenty of activities, climbing wall, ice-cream van, coffee van and bouncy castles.
5:00pm At the Bruce Rock Recreation Centre there will be live music from the Army Band and great food provided by the Bruce Rock District Club.
SUNDAY 5th November
**Coffee van & Breakfast available at the oval**
10:00am Come along to the Bruce Rock Community Recreation Centre and enjoy a morning listening to the Brass Bands play for the final time this year.
10:00am Local Aquatic Centre will be open
12.00pm Head on out to Myola Cafe & Nursery for a Roast Lunch. Bookings Essential on 90611833
2.00pm Social Tennis & Bowls will be available. Visitors are more than welcome to join in with local sporting fixtures.
5:00pm We hope you all have enough energy left to join us for the Bard Pit night. BYO Chairs nibbles and drinks.

11:00am IT’S MELBOURNE CUP DAY So come down to our local venues and enjoy a lovely Melbourne Cup Lunch. Please book at one of the following locations:
