Danny Green taking on Burra Oval

There has never been a bigger name in sport to grace the ovals of the EDFL and it will tomorrow Saturday the 22nd of July, when world champion boxer Danny Green will run out on the Burra oval wearing the famous blue and white Cats jumper.

Bring your friends and family along and join us on what promises to be great day and night.Evening time will see two spectacular events take place. The first is the annual Iron Man event against our mates from the Hyden/Karlgarin footy club, who will be keen to win back the trophy this year after getting comprehensively beaten last time.The second is the Burracoppin Cup an exciting night of horse racing that always keeps the crowd entertained.

Was able to get Danny on air this morning and he told of his tie to the club. His Dad used to be out in the region and a good player for the Burracoppin side at that apparently. Here’s hoping it shines through tomorrow with Danny for the Cats! With or without the win though, it will make for a great day of footy for the Eastern Districts.
