Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed a crash in Wongan Hills on Friday night to get in contact.

On 27 April, a man in his 20's was travelling at approximately 7:45pm on the Northam-Pithara Road (approximately 12km south of the townsite), when the driver of a white Holden Commodore failed to negotiate a bend in the road and struck a tree.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, tragically died at the scene.

Another tragic fatality in the Central Wheatbelt and Avon Valley, adding to poor crash statistics in the region.
