Due to the extreme hot conditions in parts of the Wheatbelt, there are some shires with Total Fire Bans in place for today, Wednesday 3 January 2018.

These include Bruce Rock, Kellerberrin, Merredin, Mount Marshall, Mukinbudin, Narembeen, Nungarin, Trayning, Westonia and Yilgarn.

The Total Fire Ban prohibits the lighting of any fires in the open air and any other activities that may start a fire.

The ban includes all open air fires for the purpose of cooking or camping. It also includes incinerators, welding, grinding, soldering or gas cutting.
