UPDATE: A 58 year old woman has been airlifted to Newcastle after suffering injuries to her head, torso, pelvis and legs following a crash in Coffs Harbour on Tuesday night.

Initial reports from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter said a car and caravan were involved in the crash near Halls Road.

According to Police, the female was coming out of Thompsons Road when it collided with a 4WD towing an empty horse float.

Emergency Services arrived at the scene just after 7:15pm to find the female unconscious.

According to NSW Ambulance, three females were assessed with one taken to hospital, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

EARLIER: Emergency Services were called to a crash on the Pacific Highway tonight in Coffs Harbour.

One northbound lane was closed near Halls Road just after 7pm following a crash involving a car and caravan.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the scene, however before returning to their base in Lismore.

One female occupant of a vehicle was treated at the scene, before being transported by road Ambulance to Coffs Harbour Hospital.

The condition of the patient is unknown.

All lanes of the Pacific Highway have since been reopened.
