Coffs Harbour’s Chill Out Cafe we’re surprised and delighted with the announcement today of a $5000 grant to purchase a new coffee machine.

Coffs Harbour MP Andrew Fraser and Minister for Disability Services Ray Williams visited the cafe in Earl Street to make the announcement.

“I’m proud to support Chill Out Café. The organisation provides genuine employment opportunities for people with disability who are able to gain experience and training in the hospitality sector,” Mr Fraser said.

Mr Williams said the café provides practical training, skill development and work experience for people with disability in a supportive environment.

“Staff of Chill Out Café gain valuable work skills, all while being given the opportunity to socialise with others and build confidence,” Mr Williams said.

Chill Out Café is an initiative of Coffs Harbour Support Services and Meals on Wheels.

Mr Williams also took the opportunity to pay tribute to the hard work of Andrew Fraser, who he referred to as “an icon of the region”.
