Members of our local NSW Police Force were recognized today in a ceremony in Coffs Harbour.

The Coffs Clarence Local Area Command Awards Day saw a number of members of the NSW Police Force honoured in front of family, friends and colleagues.

Held at the Coffs Harbour Police Station, NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Max Mitchell presented the awards, including the Commissioner’s Commendation for Courage, awarded for action in the line of duty where outstanding courage was required.

Coffs Clarence Local Area Commander, Superintendent Mark Holahan told Triple M it is important to recognize the great work our Police do, and thank them for the high standards that they serve the Coffs Clarence Community.

“I’m so proud to work with these people every day. I hear and see what these people do”, he said.

“It’s really important as a commander to recognize what they do, and celebrate it with them and their families, and say thank you”, Supintendent Holahan said.

Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, commended the officers of the state, in particular the Coffs Clarence.

Mr Fraser told Triple M, “we are at home asleep, and feeling safe, the reason we are safe is because of these officers and the great job that they do”.
