The Business plans for the long awaited Coffs Harbour Bypass will be presented to the Federal Government today.

State Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, and NSW Roads Minister Melinda Pavey will hand over the findings from the work to Federal Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker.

The NSW State Government put forward their $200 million into the Geotechnical works and planning for the bypass, with pressure now on the Federal Government to put the funding into the next Federal Budget to get work started.

Mr Fraser said, “I would hope they have the money in the next budget to get on with the job”.

“My belief is, that once Macksville is finished, we should be able to start on the Coffs Harbour Bypass, I can’t see what’s stopping it”, he said.

Following the Prime Minister’s reshuffle of Cabinet on Tuesday, Darren Chester has been replaced by Barnaby Joyce in the Infrastructure portfolio.

On Triple M, Andrew Fraser told Moffee, “The reality is, Barnaby, I think, understands the problems that we’ve got in Coffs. I will be on the phone to him to say ‘Hey Barnaby, make sure you’ve got at least $100 million in the next budget to get this bypass underway”.
