Coffs Harbour Fisherman's Co-op Takes out Top Seafood Award

Coffs Harbour’s Seafood industry is in the spotlight after taking out a top award at the Sydney Fish Market Seafood Excellence Awards overnight in Sydney.

The Coffs Harbour Fisherman’s Co-op were awards first place for ‘Best Supplier’, an award that recognizes a seafood primary producer or supplier that demonstrates excellence in the sustainable production of quality seafood through innovation in fishing or aquaculture practices.

Fisherman’s Co-op’s General Manager Andrew Mitchell told Triple M’s Moffee, “it’s nice for our fishermen to get recognition for how hard they work”.

“These awards reflect on how hard our fishermen work, and the great product they land”, Mr Mitchell said.

The Coffs Harbour icon was also the runner up for “Best Seafood Business”.

The category recognizing the business for its growth, innovation, excellence in product, service and marketing as well as making a significant contribution to the future of the NSW seafood industry.
