Coffs Harbour High School in Spotlight After Fight Hits Social Media

Police were called to a Coffs Coast High School following an altercation between two female students.

Officers attended Coffs Harbour High School on Wednesday following the fight which was recorded and posted on social media by other students.

The second student was taken to hospital for assessment after receiving cuts and bruises.

Triple M has obtained the sickening footage of the incident.

In a statement to Triple M, the NSW Education Department said the matter was being addressed.

“Coffs Harbour High School does not tolerate any violence or inappropriate behaviour”, the statement said.

“Following a physical altercation between two students today, police were called and disciplinary action was taken against one of the students directly involved, and against students involved in recording the incident”.

It concluded saying that “The school is supporting the victim”.

The latest incident has some parents concerned with issues of bullying not being addressed properly.
