Coffs Harbour City Council will now look for new tenants of the former Deep Sea Fishing Club.

The news comes as Community Care Options advised Coffs Harbour City Council that, after further consideration, they will not be proceeding with the leasing of the foreshores site.

Council say this is disappointing from their perspective given the efforts made in negotiating a suitable short term lease over recent months.

The latest developments in the leasing means that Council will now seek other opportunities to offer a short term lease or licensing of the facility, while they continue a longer-term Expression of Interest (EOI) process.

The future strategic direction of the broader foreshores precinct is currently being explored by a NSW Government-initiated group, which brings together a range of government agencies that have an interest in the Jetty Foreshores.

The long-term EOI is likely to inform a future competitive tender process as per the requirements set by the NSW Government.
