Construction will start Monday on a new $15 Million development at Coffs Harbour South.

Spectrum Retail Group are developing the new service station on Stadium Drive, near the Pacific Highway.

The company's Executive Director, Julian Ackad, told Triple M, "once completed the development will create 110 part time, full time and casual jobs for the region".

"We saw the great potential of Coffs Harbour, and did a lot of hunting around for the right site, and this spot will allow us to do something pretty special", he said.

Along with a Caltex service station and 'The Foodary', the site will also include a Hungry Jack's, Boost Juice Bar and Oliver's Real Food.

Southeast Queensland based company, Beech Constructions, will be building the new development with the construction phase seeing more than 150 jobs in the process.

"From Monday we will have excavators onsite, we'll start moving soil, and the construction phase will take about 6 months", Mr Ackad told Triple M.

All going well with weather, the new centre is due to be open prior to the Christmas Holidays.
