Couple Attacked at Diggers Beach

Police are investigating after two people were assaulted near Coffs Harbour last week.
About 10:20pm on Friday 17 August 2018, a 57 year old man and a 49 year old woman were at the Diggers Beach carpark, near Diggers Beach Road, when they were approached by a group of male youths.
The man was repeatedly assaulted by the group before one member of the group assaulted the woman.
The injured man and woman later attended Coffs Harbour Hospital for treatment.
Officers from Coffs Clarence Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam vision to come forward.
