Emergency services are attending a motor vehicle crash at Red Hill.
Police, Ambulance and RFS crews were called to Coramba Rd just after 11am.
According to witnesses two vehicles collided head on, with one catching fire.
The road is closed in both directions.
Triple M listener Wendy, said that she had been waiting in the queue of traffic for more than an hour.
A female driver of one vehicle was transported to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Once the road is cleaned up by council, it will be re-opened.
Motorists can expect major delays with traffic queues for kilometres in both directions.
