While wet weather may have halted work on parts of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Highway upgrades, more changes can be expected this weekend.

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions at Lemon Tree Road, Halfway Creek on Sunday as part of ongoing Pacific Highway upgrade work.

The temporary intersection of Lemon Tree Road and the Pacific Highway will be moved about 30 metres to the north to enable the new permanent Lemon Tree Road intersection to be built.

To minimise the impact to motorists, work to adjust the intersection will be carried out from 5pm to 6am on Sunday, and is expected to take one night to complete, weather permitting.

Traffic control, electronic signs and a reduced speed limit will be in place to direct local residents and motorists wishing to use the intersection to access the Coles Express Service Station and The Creek Restaurant from the Pacific Highway.

Further north, work will be carried out for about the next four weeks to build three new pull over bays on the existing southbound lanes, north of Franklins Road, Glenugie.

Meanwhile, further north at Tyndale, controlled blasting will be carried out on Thursday 2 March. For the safety of workers and motorists all traffic on the Pacific Highway in this area will be temporarily stopped during controlled blasting.

Between 1pm and 3pm on Thursday, motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
