Deputy Mayor Tegan Swan has spoken about Council's position when it comes to the Coffs Harbour Bypass.

Speaking on Triple M Councillor Swan said that she believes that designs should be on display in as many places as possible for the community to view.

It comes after State MP, Andrew Fraser wrote to Coffs Harbour City Council two weeks ago requesting to have the designs on display in the Council foyer or Library.

As of Wednesday, Mr Fraser said his only response was from the General Manager to say that it had been passed on to one of the directors, however it is still unknown whether they will agree to display the designs.

Many in the community have also raised questions on the background of Red Community, the new tenant in the building of the former Deep Sea Fishing Club site.

Cr Swan spoke of what she understands that the group do and their intention for the use of the site.
