Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser today announced an online survey to help collect community views on the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore redevelopment.

Mr Fraser said the survey is now open until Sunday 1 July and he encouraged all interested residents to complete it.

“We've had a great response so far to our community consultations on the foreshore with over 1,600 comments posted on the Social Pinpoint platform and 245 responses provided to an online survey,” Mr Fraser said.

Face-to-face drop-in sessions at the end of March saw 143 community members and stakeholders submit further ideas.

“In May, we also held face-to-face workshops with over 90 community members and local stakeholders to discuss and rank the key themes arising to date" Mr Fraser said.

“However, GHD which is managing the community consultation process has recommended a further online survey to make sure we capture broader community preferences".

“From the start we said it was critical the community’s views were at the heart of any future development and this latest online survey will help ensure that occurs.

The online survey is open until 1 July and Mr Fraser encourages all community members and stakeholders, no matter what your views, to complete it at www.ghd.com/foreshoresurvey

Mr Fraser said the online survey will conclude GHD’s stakeholder and community consultation process and help inform Group GSA’s Preliminary Concept Plan for the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore, based on the results of all the consultations.

“A final report on GHD’s community and stakeholder consultation process and the resulting ranked ideas is anticipated to be published by the end of August 2018.”
