UPDATE:

Delays continue on the Pacific Highway at Telegraph Point.

Stop/slow traffic control is in place to allow one lane of traffic to pass in one direction at a time past the accident.

The speed limit has been reduced in the area.

Queues up to 6km have been reported in both directions.

Triple M have been told that one patient is trapped with chest and leg injuries, while another was transported to Port Macquarie hospital in a stable condition, their injuries are unknown.

EARLIER:

The Pacific Highway is closed in both directions at Telegraph Point, north of Port Macquarie following a serious truck crash.

Four trucks are involved in the crash which took place just before 2am near Moorside Drive.

Emergency Services are at the scene including the rescue helicopter, with reports of at least one person trapped.

RMS are suggesting that motorists travelling northbound consider using the Oxley Highway and the New England Highway.

The Gwydir Highway and the New England Highway can be used southbound.

Triple M listener Jason told Luke Bona, that a truck rammed up the rear of 3 others at the 'Stop/Go'.

The Highway is expected to remain closed for hours while investigations continue and crews clean up the crash site.
