Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a teenager missing from Grafton.

Emma Powell, aged 16, is believed to have left her home between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Monday 19 December 2016.

It is thought that Emma may be travelling in the family vehicle a white Land Rover Defender with NSW registration of CYE 34A.

Emma is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall with shoulder length blonde/brownish hair.

She has blue/green eyes with a thin-medium build and is known to wear silver jewellery.

Emma may be travelling with her black dog.

Emma's mum Shannon has taken to Facebook in a plea for her daughter to contact them so they know she is safe.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare as the disappearance is out of character.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are conducting inquiries to locate her and have searched a number of locations without success.

Police are urging anyone with information, or anyone who knows the whereabouts of Emma or who sights the vehicle to contact police immediately. Crime Stoppers can be contacted on 1800 333 000.
