GURMESH SINGH has been elected as the Nationals candidate for Coffs Harbour in the upcoming state election in NSW in March.

Party members joined at the CWA hall in Coffs Harbour on Saturday to hear from four candidates before voting on their representative.

Mr Singh is a fourth generation farmer who was born and raised in Coffs Harbour.

He is also the chairman of the Oz Group Co-op.

Long serving Coffs Harbour MP, Andrew Fraser, congratulated Mr Singh, saying, "I look forward to assisting Gurmesh over coming months to make sure he is elected as the next Member for Coffs Harbour in Government".

It will be a new era for the Nationals on both levels of government in 2019, with Luke Hartsuyker also retiring in the Division of Cowper at the next Federal Election. Patrick Conaghan (pictured below) will represent the party on a Federal level in Cowper.
