UPDATE:

All lanes have re-opened of the Pacific highway at Korora following the earlier incident. Traffic delays from the north are expected for some time as the backlog of trucks and traffic clears.

EARLIER:

Both southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway are closed following an accident early this morning at Korora.

The accident between a truck and pedestrian happened just after 5am near the Bus Bays on the Highway.

One northbound lane is also closed as emergency services remain at the scene.

According to NSW Ambulance, a male was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital with serious injuries to his upper and lower limbs and head injuries.

Diversions for light vehicles are in place via James Small Drive. However, Triple M listener Paul told Moffee, "Trucks are backing up to James Small Drive in both southbound lanes".
