UPDATE:

Police continue investigations into an incident in Bellingen in the early hours of Monday morning.

About 2am, a 31 year old male was in his residence in the main street of Bellingen when two other men allegedly entered the property.

One of the offenders was armed with a knife, causing an injury to the 31 year old man.

Police have been told, the man was then allegedly bound and taken to a second location on the Waterfall Way, east of Bellingen.

Triple M understands a confrontation took place with a 37 year old man at that location, a service station and fruit shop.

Detective Acting Inspector Aaron Van Schaik told Triple M, that the offenders got away with a quantity of cash.

Police have been told that the offenders then fled the scene in the victim’s white Holden Barina.

The vehicle later located dumped in the main street of Bellingen around 5:30am.

“We believe it was a targeted attack on the victim’s address at the first location”, Det Acting Insp. Van Schaik said.

According to Coffs Clarence Police, the 31 year old sustained a laceration to the arm, while the 37 year old man sustained minor injuries, saying that the “men were briefly treated at Hospital, but have since been released”.

Both men are described as being a medium build, about 175-180cm tall, both were wearing dark hooded tops and dark pants.

Police are urging anyone with information that may have seen anything suspicious between Hyde Street in Bellingen and the Waterfall Way to the east to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

EARLIER:

Investigations are underway into an incident in Bellingen overnight.

Early on Monday morning, police setup a crime scene at Fuller’s Service Station and Fruit Shop on Waterfall Way.

Triple M received early reports of the area being cordoned off with police tape, while officers investigated.
