The jury in the trial of Tyson Egan in Coffs Harbour were discharged after they were unable to hand down a verdict in the case.

Mr Egan, accused of the manslaughter of Kyle Watson in 2015, is alleged to have thrown a punch that killed the Ulmarra man.

Kyle Watson’s father told media outside the Courtroom, “We were hoping that all people involved in this tragic event would be able to find some level of closure after the proceedings. Unfortunately we have a hung jury, we will all have to see what happens now”.

Tyson Egan remains on bail, a hearing into his bail conditions will be held on Thursday in the District Court in Coffs Harbour.
