Man Caught Doing 193 in 100km Zone at Glenugie

A man in his 20's has been clocked travelling at 193km/h south of Grafton.
About 7:20pm on Sunday night, Police attached to Grafton Highway Patrol were conducting stationary Speed Enforcement on the Pacific Highway at Glenugie when a Maroon BMW with Queensland registration was detected at 193km/h in a 100km/h speed zone.
Police stopped the vehicle, speaking with the 24 year old driver, from a Sippy Downs address in Queensland. A male passenger was also in the vehicle.
The driver produced a current Queensland licence. When speaking with police in relation to his speed, the driver replied, "I thought I was doing about 210".
The Driver was issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for Class A motor vehicle exceed speed limit by more than 45kph - $2384 and his privileges to drive in the state of New South Wales were withdrawn for a period of six (6) months.
