A man has faced Coffs Harbour Local Court following his arrest on Wednesday.

Police charged the 38 year old over two alleged acts of indecency at two beaches in Coffs Harbour at the weekend.

About 1pm on Saturday, police will allege a man committed an act of indecency in front of a 16 year old girl while at Park Beach, near Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour.

It will be alleged in court, that an hour later, the man approached a 24 year old woman where he exposed himself and committed an act of indecency at Digger Beach.

Officers from Coffs Clarence Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following a public appeal, police arrested a 38 year old man at a Coffs Harbour property in Kurrajong Street, about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was charged with two counts of commit act of indecency.

The man was refused bail before appearing at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Thursday.

He was again refused bail by Magistrate Linden to reappear on Tuesday 25 September 2018.

Inquiries continue.
