Two men have died in separate drownings in NSW today in a matter of hours.

In Yamba in the state's north, a man died after a suspected drowning.

About 2pm on Friday, the 46 year old Yamba man was swimming at the Kolora Lake Reserve at Yamba, when he was pulled from the water unresponsive.

CPR was provided, however, he died at the scene.

Police from Coffs/Clarence LAC will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A brief will be prepared for the Coroner.

Meanwhile, Police from the Camden LAC in the state's south are preparing a report for the Coroner following the death of a man at Tahmoor today.

About 12.30pm, a 27 year old Pakistani National was swimming with friends in an area known as ‘Mermaid Pools’ when he dived into the water and signalled for assistance.

He was pulled unconscious from the water and emergency services were alerted to the incident.

He died at the scene.
