A man charged with offences relating to an armed robbery at the Toormina Hotel has been given bail.

Just before midnight on April 20, it was reported that four knife wielding offenders entered the hotel, ordering staff to hand over cash and take them to the safe.

Intruders alleged held a knife to the throat of a female patron while a male patron felt a blade at the back of his neck during the ordeal.

Police arrested Jason Keith Dungay on a number of charges in relation to the robbery including ‘Robbery armed with offensive weapon’, and two counts of ‘Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime’.

The accused man appeared before Magistrate Linden on Monday at Coffs Harbour Local Court where he was granted conditional bail.

As part of the conditions he must report to the Coffs Harbour Police Station once daily on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.   He is also not to enter or loiter near any licensed premises.

Mr Dungay is due to reappear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on 11 July 2017.
