Three weeks after a Triple M listener revealed details of the completion date for the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Pacific Highway upgrade, it has now been confirmed by the Roads Minister.
Melinda Pavey confirmed that the stretch will be opened on Monday 18 December, weather permitting.
Triple M Coffs Coast received a call on 16 November from a listeners saying that the section will be finished by 15 December, then opened for traffic on 18 December.
He told Moffee, “they’ve brought all the worker from down south, north to make sure they get that bridge opened for middle of December”.
The news will comes as an early Christmas gift for many holidaymakers who will be able to avoid the usual delays on the old Macksville Bridge.
Crews have been working around the clock to get the section completed in time.
