Many passing the Coffs Harbour Airport on Thursday may have been concerned with the volume of Emergency Services on site.
However, it was all in the name of training.
An emergency services exercise was successfully conducted at Coffs Harbour on Thursday morning.
About 10:30am, police and emergency services conducted a one-hour exercise at the airport to respond to a mock aircraft emergency.
Among the emergency services which attended, included officers from Coffs Clarence Police District, Fire & Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance, Rural Fire Service, SES and Coffs Harbour airport personnel.
The exercise tested emergency procedures and was successfully conducted.
Normal operations have since resumed at the airport.
