More than $45,000 Worth of Drugs Seized by Coffs Clarence Target Action Group

A tip off to Crime Stoppers has seized more than $30,000 worth of cannabis near Coffs Harbour.
Target Action Group police attached to the Coffs Clarence LAC attended an address in Wilson Street, Lowanna around 11.30am on Thursday and spoke to a 35 year old man.
A subsequent search allegedly uncovered 19 cannabis plants growing in the backyard as well as cannabis leaf inside the home, all of which was seized by police.
According to NSW Police, the drugs have a total street value of $33,925.
Coffs Clarence Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Darren Jameson said, "Information from the public in relation to dangerous drugs in the community, whether that be cannabis or ice, is important and we take this information seriously and act on it, if it is appropriate."
The 35 year old man was issued with a future court attendance notice for the offences of cultivate prohibited plant and possess prohibited plant.
He will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday 30 January 2017.
Meanwhile in South Grafton on Thursday night, police were patrolling Villiers Street around 6:40pm when they stopped a black Holden Commodore sedan driven by a 36 year old South Grafton man known to them.
It is alleged that he was known to be a disqualified driver. The vehicle was stopped and the vehicle also contained a second 36 year old South Grafton man.
A subsequent search of the vehicle is alleged to have located 15.4g of crystal methylamphetamine, 3.5g of cannabis, $2425 in cash, drug utensils and a mobile phone taser.
Both men were arrested and taken to Grafton Police station.
Both have been charged with supply prohibited drugs, possess prohibited drugs, possessing a prohibited weapon and dealing with property suspected of being proceeds of crime.
Both were refused bail by police, and due to appear before Grafton Local Court on Friday.
The estimated street level value of the drugs seized is $15,500.
