UPDATE:

The Pacific Highway has reopened following a multi vehicle crash on Saturday night.

Emergency crews and the Crime Investigation Unit worked into the night.

While diversions were in place for smaller vehicles, it forced many B Doubles to have to park on the Highway until it reopened.

EARLIER:

A multi vehicle crash has closed the Pacific Highway south of Macksville.

Emergency services were called to the location at Warrell Creek, near Browns Crossing Road just after 7:30pm.

The Crime Scene Investigation unit is on site.

Diversion have been put in place via Macksville with southbound traffic to use Giinagay Way from Nambucca Heads, while northbound traffic is being diverted onto Upper Warrell Creek Road.

The diversions are not suitable for B Doubles, are Police are asking for heavy vehicles to park prior to the scene.

It is unknown at this stage how long the highway will be closed for.
