A new community display office for the Coffs Harbour bypass project will open on Monday, 19 November, in the Coffs Harbour CBD.

Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser said the office at 11A Park Avenue will allow the public to drop in, and speak with staff about any questions or feedback they may have.

“The display centre will be open from 10am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, while members of the project team are also available by appointment outside of these hours.

This comes after the extension of the preferred concept design consultation period to Friday 30 November, to allow members of the community more time to have their say.

Plans for the Pacific Highway bypass of Coffs Harbour have been open for consultation since 24 September.

“Three community feedback sessions were held, during which Roads and Maritime Services received between 500 and 600 visits from the community", Mr Fraser said.

To enable the conversation to continue, Roads and Maritime will now opening this community display office.

“The project team will also hold three information displays before the preferred concept design submission period closes on 30 November", he said.

On November 15 and November 26, the team will be at Coffs Central, while on November 21, the team will be at Park Beach Plaza.

Mr Fraser said in response to community feedback the consultation period on the Environmental Impact Statement will now take place in 2019.

“Roads and Maritime is reviewing the feedback received to date and will continue to keep the community updated as the project progresses,” Mr Fraser said.
