The group behind three large banners dropped from the Bray St train bridge on the Pacific Highway on Wednesday morning has been revealed.

A group who call themselves “Frontline Action on Coal” posted a live video to their Facebook page at 7:32am on Thursday morning as the banners were one by one revealed to passing traffic below.

In the video, it shows two females, Ella and Bonnie, holding up signs with their message.

The group are planning a “Street Party Protest” on Saturday in Coffs Harbour as part of a National Day of Action.

They say they are “reminding the Australian Government that we the people do not want any new coal projects opened in Australia”.

Marnie Cotton contacted Triple M to chat about the event on Saturday, saying that they will be dressing up in red and sending out the message.

When asked about the sign on the train bridge, Ms Cotton confirmed with Triple M that she did not put up the sign, but said, “we are part of that action”.

Triple M’s Moffee asked, “But you know who did put it up?”  She responded saying, “Yes I guess so”.

The group plan their protest on the corner of Coffs Street and the Pacific Highway from 11am-2pm on Saturday.
