UPDATE:

Albany Street has been reopened between Earl and Gordon Street following an earlier crash involving a 4WD and pedestrian. 

EARLIER:

A pedestrian has been struck by a 4WD on a street in Coffs Harbour.

Just after 2pm the incident occurred on Albany Street, near the Earl Street roundabout.

NSW ambulance paramedics treated the patient at the scene before taken them to the Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.

Bystanders directed traffic at the roundabout until Police arrived.

Police have blocked the section of Albany Street between Earl Street and  Gordon Street.

Motorists are advised to take care in the area and avoid the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
