Police have commenced investigations after a number of reports of thumb tacks being placed across roads on the Coffs Coast.
Over the last three weeks, reports have been made of the tacks on Central Bucca Road and Bruxner Park Road.
While no one has been injured yet, it does raise concerns with local police.
Not only does it threaten the lives and safety of motorists and cyclists, but under the offence of Reckless Act causing Serious Injury or Death, does carry a prison term.
Police have obtained a number of exhibits for examination.
Anyone with information is urged by Police to contact the Coffs Harbour Police Station, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
