Detectives investigating the homicide of a person in Logan, near Brisbane, have released the identity of a 34 year old man they believe may able to assist with their active inquiries into the case.

Zlatko Sikorsky (pictured) is believed to be travelling in a silver 2014 Holden Commodore with a sunroof and Queensland registration 966 WKB (pictured).

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged not to approach him but to contact police immediately on Triple Zero (000).

It is unknown if the man is still in the state of Queensland or now interstate. However, Police believe he may still be in the Logan and Gold Coast areas.

It follows the discovery of a deceased person in the back of a utility at a property in the Brisbane suburb of Stapylton late Wednesday afternoon after police tracked the vehicle from an address in Buccan.

The body is yet to be formally identified and the circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined.

Crime scenes were established at the Stapylton and Buccan addresses overnight as police commenced forensic examinations.

An Investigation Centre has been established at Logan Central Police Station.
