Ray Hadley Speak Out About Coffs Harbour Magistrate

Broadcaster Ray Hadley has spoken about bail decision made by Coffs Harbour Magistrate Jeff Linden.

On his program on Wednesday, Mr Hadley outlined to listeners the history of bail given to offenders who appeared before Magistrate Linden.

It comes as the Magistrate gave conditional bail to a man who appeared in Coffs Harbour Local Court this week on various serious charges.

During the broadcast, Ray Hadley said it is about time Magistrates are held accountable for their decisions.

"We've got cases here where women's lives are put at risk, when Magistrates like Jeff Linden, release them back into the community" Mr Hadley said.

Ahead of White Ribbon Day, Ray Hadley questioned whether it is taken seriously enough when the judiciary gives bail on these matters.

"We can wear as many bloody white ribbons as we like, but until the judiciary protect women, we won't get any answers", Hadley said.
