The Coffs Harbour City Council have been asked to display the Bypass route permanently for the community to be able to view at any time.

The request follows a community meeting at the PCYC on Thursday night.

Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, has written to the Council asking to have the display in their foyer.

"I have written to Coffs Harbour City Council asking that they have a permanent display of the Bypass route in either the foyer of the Council Chambers or the library, until such time as the public consultation process is completed", Mr Fraser said.

"This is usual practice for all public consultations and I am hopeful that Coffs Harbour City Council will agree to this request".

Mr Fraser also gave an assurance that the public consultation will be extended until the end of January and the Environmental Impact Statement will not be released over the Christmas holiday period.

Triple M have contacted the General Manager of the Coffs Harbour City Council, who said they are working with RMS in regards to the request.
