Rescue Chopper Called to Surf Accident at Urunga

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to a surfing accident in Urunga on Monday morning.

Triple M understands that around 10:30am, a man in his 40's was pulled out of the water.  He was unconscious and not breathing.

He later regained consciousness and was reporting chest and shoulder pain.

According to NSW Ambulance, the man sustained head injuries.

He was transported to the Coffs Harbour Hospital by road ambulance.
