A man has been charged in relation to an alleged break and enter at Woolgoolga on Australia Day.

Around 1:30am on Thursday, a commercial premises on Willis Road in Woolgoolga was broken in to.

Several items were stolen including two firearms.

Officers from Coffs Clarence LAC were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home on Solitary Islands Way, Sandy Beach.

A number of items of property, believed to be stolen were located and seized, along with a small amount of cannabis.

A 41 year old man was arrested at the location and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station.

The man was charged with two counts of break and enter, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, three charges of possess unauthorised firearm, possess ammunition without holding a licence, not keep fire arm safely and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Friday 27 January 2017.
