A scam around the Coffs Coast has been raised with Police and Triple M.

Julie Ferguson from Oz Harvest told Triple M on Monday, she had received reports from multiple people in the Park Beach area that men, saying they are from Oz Harvest, are knocking on doors and asking for donations of food or cash.

Ms Ferguson said this is not how the organization receives their donations and raised concerns that locals may give to the scammers.

“It is also a good reminder for people not to give to anyone unless they have a logo on their shirt and the appropriate identification”, Ms Ferguson said.

Information she has been given is that the men are aged between 18-22 years old, and often work in pairs or groups of three, and are wearing green t-shirts.

The matter has been reported to Police.

If anyone has any information, they are urged to contact Coffs Harbour Police, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
