UPDATE:

Police have confirmed that one person has died in a multi vehicle crash at Sandy Beach this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Solitary Islands Way at 7:50am.

On arrival, officers located a crash involving a truck and two cars.

A woman in one of the cars died at the scene.

She has not yet been formally identified.

The other drivers and passengers were released from the crashed vehicles.

All were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries and taken to Coffs Harbour hospital for treatment.

The drivers of the truck and the other car will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

Crash Investigation Unit officers and heavy vehicle inspectors are en-route to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Motorists are advised that Solitary Island Way is blocked in both directions at the crash site and are advised to avoid the area.

EARLIER:

Emergency services are at the scene of a multivehicle crash involving a truck on Solitary Islands Way at Sandy Beach.

The call was made just before 8am near Morgans Road.

It is understood that one of the vehicles overturned.

NSW Ambulance told Triple M that three patients have been conveyed to Coffs Harbour Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.

Police investigators will be at the scene for some time.
