The Coffs Coast’s Triple M joined delegates from the Coffs Harbour Health Campus on Wednesday to present a cheque for more than $33,000 to the Coffs Harbour Children’s Ward.

As part of Triple M’s Give Me 5 For Kids, Breakfast host Michael ‘Moffee’ Moffett walked from Woolgoolga to Sawtell, pulling a wheelie bin, to raise funds for vital equipment with “Moffee’s 50K’s in 5 Days”.

In total, $33,907.46 was raised from local businesses and listeners to Triple M on the Coffs Coast.

On Wednesday, Moffee said “the generosity from our community always blows me away, it shows how important local radio is, in being able to make a difference”.

“The annual event is a way that together we can make a difference for sick kids and their families on the Coffs Coast”.

The Mid North Coast Health District’s Governing Board Chair, Warren Grimshaw AM was in attendance, saying that it was a very important day in the Mid North Coast Health District and Coffs Harbour.

“It’s just amazing that we get this support from Triple M, and the community for the Health Campus” Mr Grimshaw said.

The goal for 2017 was to raise $32,000 for the Children’s Ward Wish List, a total that was achieved and went above.

The grand total raised for 2017 with Triple M’s Give Me 5 For Kids was $33,907.46.
