Police have arrested a 69 year old man from Woolgoolga in relation to a crash that killed a 43 year old mother at Sandy Beach.

The man, who was driving the truck involved in the crash will appear in court next month after the fatal crash in Coffs Harbour on Tuesday morning.

Police and emergency services arrived at the scene just before 8am on Solitary Island Way, near Holloways Road.

The 43 year old woman tragically died at the scene.

Crash Investigation Unit officers and heavy vehicle inspectors commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 69 year old man from Woolgoolga shortly before 1:30pm on Tuesday.

He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, and negligent driving occasioning death.

His licence was suspended.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday 25 June 2018.
