UPDATE:

Police are investigating a serious single-vehicle crash near Coffs Harbour this afternoon.

Just after 12.30pm, emergency services were called to Brewers Road, Nana Glen, following reports a car crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 15 year old boy, and the passenger, a 12 year old boy, suffered serious head injuries. The driver was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital while the passenger was taken to John Hunter Hospital, both in serious conditions.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene.

Crash Investigation Unit officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

 

EARLIER:

Two Westpac Rescue Helicopters have attended the scene of a serious single vehicle crash at Nana Glen.

Just after 12:30pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to Brewers Road following reports of a vehicle into a tree.

According to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, both the Tamworth and Lismore Helicopter medical teams were onsite treating two males aged 15 and 12, both with multiple injuries.

It is understood that the 15 year old will be transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The second helicopter arrived in Coffs Harbour just after 4:30pm, before airlifting the 12 year old male patient to John Hunter Hospital.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

Weather conditions on Coffs Coast roads continue to be slippery. Motorists are advised to take extra care this afternoon.
