Ute into Tree Leaves Driver Trapped

A man in his 30’s remains in hospital after a single vehicle crash in Coffs Harbour on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to Hogbin Drive, near Stadium Drive around 5:30am, following reports of a ute colliding with a tree.

On arrival, a 37 year old male driver was found trapped in the vehicle.

Three NSW Ambulance units attended the scene, along with police and NSW Fire and Rescue.

According to NSW Ambulance, the man suffered pain to his neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis.

He was extricated from the ute a short time later, before paramedics treated the man at the scene and transported him in a stable condition to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.
