Police are treating a fire in Woolgoolga overnight as suspicious.

Investigating into the suspicious fire at a smash repair business continued throughout the day.

About 8:50pm on Wednesday night, emergency services were called to Featherstone DriveĀ in Woolgoolga, north of Coffs Harbour, following reports of a building fire.

Police, Fire & Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service, and NSW Ambulance attended and found the commercial property well alight.

The blaze was extinguished; however, the building, with numerous vehicles and equipment inside was damaged.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At this stage, the blaze is being treating as suspicious.
