For the first time in 25 year’s an artist has landed at the top of three country album charts – that person - the incomparable Chris Stapleton.
Stapleton’s treble is the first since April 11, 1992 when the legendary Garth Brooks Ropin' the Wind, No Fences and his self-titled first LP all held the top spot on country charts. He dominated that position for 11 weeks.
The only other country artist to achieve the same was Charlie Rich back in 1974 holding the top spot for 8 weeks.
Stapleton has so far had a pretty amazing 2018. He had a clean sweep at the 2018 Grammy Awards, walking away with all three awards he was nominated for: Album of the year (From A Room: Volume 1), Best Country Solo Performance ("Either Way") and Best Country Song ("Broken Halos").
It’s clearly Chris Stapleton’s time – the man can do no wrong.
