Thirty years on from the release of his iconic album “North”, celebrated singer-songwriter Graeme Connors has made his entire catalogue available on streaming for the first time ever, under a new agreement with ABC Music.
Graeme’s highly awarded catalogue which consists of fifteen studio albums, three ‘best of’ collections and two newly released digital only live albums has amassed combined sales of well over 400,000 units and Graeme is the last major contemporary Australian country artist to make his catalogue available for streaming.
Along with his catalogue returning “home” to the ABC Music label, the new agreement will see the release of Graeme’s first studio album of new material in seven years on Friday 3rd August. The first single from that album will premiere in the coming weeks with details of the album to be announced soon.
Fans will also be excited by the announcement of the first run of tour dates in support of the new album, with the tour kicking off in Graeme’s home town Mackay on Saturday 4th August and continuing down the East Coast of Australia through to November. More dates will be announced for 2019.
Recognised as one of Australia’s most eclectic Country singer/songwriters, Graeme has received numerous awards during his more than 40-year career for his contribution to Country Music. Golden Guitars, ARIA, PPCA and APRA Awards line his shelves, with his most recent prestigious accolade, 2016 inductee to the Roll of Renown (Australia’s Country Music Hall of Fame).
“The time is right to make the move to streaming and I am excited by the potential of new audiences to hear this body of work” Graeme said. “We are seeing an increasing number of now grown up children of the fans who came to my shows 20-30 years ago, attending my current shows, and telling us stories about how they would listen to my music on cassette and CD on family trips in the car. This generation of music lovers is getting their music via streaming and I’m excited that they will have the chance to re-discover the songs from their childhood, and also to enable others who may be only now discovering my music, to access it for the first time.”
