Emerging Australian singer/songwriter Missy Lancaster has topped the ARIA Australian Country Artist Chart with her debut album “Piece of Me”.
This result made “Piece of Me” the highest selling country artist album during the first week of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, with only the Cream of Country 2018 compilation selling more copies.
“Piece of Me” came in at #2 on the ARIA Country Chart as well as #26 on the ARIA Album Chart (all genres), also making it the second highest selling Australian album across all genres last week. It also spent most of the week at #1 on the iTunes Country chart during release week.
The album’s second single ‘Heatwave’ has just been released. It follows ‘Forget’ which is back up to #2 on The Music Network’s national country airplay chart this week.
Missy will perform at CMC Rocks QLD in March and is nominated for both CMC New Artist of the Year and CMC Australian Video of the Year at the upcoming CMC Music Awards.
